Supposed it’s the last two weeks of July and the first week of August. Then, we would have this for a calendar:
July and August Partnership
Consolidated Calendar
For July-August, 2012
These are further assumptions:
1. Those in Italics are for August (1-4). The rest, of course, are for July.
2. There are no classes on the Red Dates.
3. July 25. My pad mate went home to attend their fiesta.
4. July 25. I was at school in the morning to take a major exam that was eventually cancelled.
Slept in the entire afternoon. Then, in the evening, I catch up with some friends I haven’t seen
for awhile.
5. July 26. I participated in an out-of-town nature-trekking.
6. July 27. Around ten in the morning, I’m back in the pad.
7. Today is July 27, Friday.

11 am. I cooked for lunch. Sayote Con Egg Sarsa. Just kidding. That’s a self-created name for a recipe. But I really made something like that. Here:
1. Peel the sayote. Dice/slice it in small bits.
2. Sauté the garlic and onion.
3. Add the diced/sliced sayote. Simmer it for 5 minutes.
4. Pour half cup of water. Simmer until the water has dried up.
5. Add one or two egg(s). (Need not beaten. But stir the mixture thoroughly.)
6. Season with salt and vetsin.
I have a confession to make. I don’t use salt, vetsin, or whatever seasoning. I don’t know how to estimate the right quantity to use. So, as a substitute, and an easy way to season my food, I use Magic Sarap. :D It’s convenient and the taste suits me well.
Just add rice, iced tea, and Hansel (Mocha flavor) in the menu and you’ll know what I had for lunch.
And, have you heard of Pig-syndrome? Actually, I coined that too. I have a Pig-syndrome. With that, I mean I feel sleepy after I eat. So, you guessed it. I slept afterwards.

It’s four in the afternoon. I was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I don’t want to take off the headphone. Deafening silence might eat me. I felt deep emptiness. A huge realization hit me.
Masyado na akong nasanay na kasama ka. Paano ba ‘to, wala ka? Ang hirap pala mag-isa.
I sent this message to my padmate. Maybe I missed her so soon already. Or maybe I am just not comfortable being alone. Then, I remembered somebody told me once:
Masanay ka pa kaya mag-isa pag kasama na kita?
I’m not in the mood to recollect so I just dropped the thought right away.
But I used to be alone. I used to choose to be alone. I used to be comfortable being alone. What happened now?
Nevertheless, I have to make this day productive. I have a plan. It worked. I was an achiever today. Here are some of my glorious victories:
********************************************************************************************************
I got bored again. Hmm.. What should I do now? I don’t feel like going out today.
Should I watch a movie? Yeah, right. My padmate and I would usually go to Divisoria at midnight to buy fries, spaghetti, or burger, and float at Mcdo or Jollibee. And sometimes, on Tuesdays or Thursdays, we would also drop by to buy DVDs. There are so many of them there. You can buy one for Php50 or 3 for Php100. And being people who are open to diverse kinds of wisdom, we bought some movies that are intended to further increase our knowledge. We don’t buy just any movie. We buy those that have moral lessons; those that make sense in real life.
Indeed, they are for academic purposes. And yes, to supplement our sense of tolerance to other aspects of human realities and thus equip us on our fragile journey toward maturity.
Something Borrowed. The Vow. Love and Other Drugs.
Crazy Stupid Love. Friend’s Benefit. No Strings Attached.
Sleeping Beauty (by Jane Champion). American Pie. House of Tolerance.
Killing Me Softly. Don’t Look Down. Shakespeare in Love
We are planning to buy Confessions of a Nymphomaniac. We are saving that after midterms. By the way, my favorite is Shakespeare in Love. It simultaneously presents the story of Romeo and Juliet.
NO, I’m not in the mood to watch DVD right now. Anime, perhaps? Vampire Nights? Special A? Naruto? Wall-E? Tinkerbell? Do the last two even count? Oh-oh.
In the end, I watched Shinobi Heart Under Blade. It is a Japanese movie. It’s like Naruto in real life. People have powers and superb capabilities. The plot? Nah, I’m not spoiling you. Don’t dare Google it as well. Watch it! :D
Another confession here:
The ending song (OST?) made me cry. I guess when you’re alone, you’re more prone to become emotional. It was a Japanese song but the subtitle saved me. Here’s some part of it:
What you held out right to me, smiling, there at the end,
Was just so utterly beautiful I could not hold back my tears…
Up in the sky, into which you have departed,
There is a star that gently shines on me.
Stand by my side, my beloved,
Transcending time, changing form, that neither of us can yet see.
Wait, my stomach suddenly felt strange. No, they’re not butterflies. I’m hungry.
Somebody feed me.
